RDT Local Guide | Stockholm

We’ve followed Johan Magnussons for a long time. He’s Senior Digital Editor at the innovation-driven lifestyle and tech platform @scandinavian.mind, and, aside from that, very much into skincare and in charge of the platform’s weekly insights newsletter Beauty Innovation. Born and raised in Stockholm, we asked him to share what not to miss in "the capital of Scandinavia".

“To me, I live in the ultimate city. Surrounded by water, which includes over 30,000 islands in the very popular archipelago. Fjäderholmarna is my favorite island, just half an hour away, with restaurants, beaches, craft studios, a beer brewery’s own pub, and much more.“

“Skeppsholmen is the perfect island for a walk, and nearby, you can find Röda Huset with fantastic cocktails and natural wine afterwards. It is hyped for a reason, and the stunning view is included in your bill”

“And if you’re up for food, Restaurang Oxenstiernan and Bleck are my go-to places on a sunny summer day – and the brand new Solen in our very own Meatpacking District is set to become the next go-to choice for Stockholmers”

“Last but not least, I’m a big fan of IPAs, and for a craft beer and a completely unique environment, Omnipollo’s Church right outside the city already attracts tourists from all over Sweden and abroad. And yes, it’s a bar in a church. Cheers!”
