§1. General and scope of application

These sales and delivery terms apply to all agreements between you as a customer and Rue de Tokyo when purchasing goods in our official webshop at ruedetokyo.com, and myshopify.ruedetokyo.com.

§2. Account

  1. You are responsible for protecting your login details, including your password, and ensuring that unauthorized persons do not gain access to your account.

  2. If you suspect misuse or compromise of your login details, you must contact us immediately.

  3. It is your responsibility to ensure that your account information is correct and up to date. Changes must be notified to Rue de Tokyo as soon as possible.

3. Conclusion of contract

  1. The presentation of goods in the webshop is not a binding offer, but an invitation to make an offer.

  2. You place your order by:

    • Add desired items to the cart

    • Go to the shopping cart and click “Proceed to payment”

    • Enter your personal information

    • Read and accept the terms and conditions

    • Select payment method and enter card details

  3. Once the order is completed, you will receive an order confirmation via email. This confirmation is not a binding acceptance.

  4. A binding agreement is only concluded when we have either dispatched your goods or confirmed the dispatch via email.

§4. Prices and payment

  1. All prices are stated in Danish kroner (DKK) and include 25% VAT.

  2. We accept the following payment cards:

    • Visa

    • Mastercard / Eurocard

    • Maestro

  3. We also offer payment in installments via:

  4. The amount is only charged when the item is shipped.

  5. For deliveries outside the EU, any customs and import duties are your responsibility as the customer. We recommend contacting your local customs office for more information.

  6. Due to changes in legislation as of January 31, 2020, online payments may require additional authentication via NemID or 3D Secure. Read more and possibly set up Visa Secure or Mastercard Identity Check with your bank.

§5. Retention of Title

Ownership of delivered goods remains with Rue de Tokyo until we have received full payment.

§6. Warranty and Liability

  1. You have a 2-year warranty according to the Sale of Goods Act.

  2. Since we work with natural materials (e.g., stones), natural variations in color, shape, and weight may occur. Such variations are not considered defects.

§7. Data Protection

  1. We process your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection legislation (GDPR).

  2. Your information is used solely for the purpose for which it was collected - e.g., order processing or customer service.

  3. Upon payment, your information may be shared with the relevant payment provider.

§8. Links to third parties

We disclaim responsibility for content, data protection, or accuracy on external websites we link to from ruedetokyo.com.

§9. Choice of law and jurisdiction

  1. The agreement is subject to Danish law.

  2. Any dispute is settled by the Copenhagen City Court.

  3. If a provision in these terms is considered invalid, this does not affect the validity of the other provisions.

§10. Complaint for manufacturing defect

If your product from Rue de Tokyo breaks due to a manufacturing defect, you have the right to exchange or repair within 2 years from the date of purchase. This requires that you can document the purchase.
Contact customer service via e-mail with your order number, a description, and a picture of the damage. We reserve the right to reject unreasonable complaints.

§11. LINKS

To the extent that RUE DE TOKYO refers to or establishes links to other websites via ruedetokyo.com, RUE DE TOKYO assumes no responsibility for the completeness, accuracy, or compliance with data protection regulations of the content on the respective external websites.

§12. JURISDICTION AND CHOICE OF LAW

  1. Any agreement entered into between the customer and RUE DE TOKYO is subject to Danish law.

  2. Any dispute arising in connection with the agreement shall be handled by the courts in Copenhagen, which is the agreed jurisdiction.

  3. Should one or more provisions in these terms and conditions be declared invalid, without legal effect, or contrary to law, this does not affect the validity of the remaining provisions, which will continue to apply.

§13. RIGHT OF COMPLAINT

If your RUE DE TOKYO product breaks due to a manufacturing defect, you have the right to make a complaint for up to 2 years from the date of purchase. However, the complaint is conditional on you being able to present valid proof of purchase (e.g., order confirmation or receipt).

For approved complaints, you will either receive a new product or have the existing product repaired free of charge. Please contact our customer service via e-mail with your order number, a description of the problem, and a photo of the damage.

We reserve the right to reject unreasonable claims for repair, return, or exchange. If you have questions about repairs, you are always welcome to contact our customer service - we are happy to help.
